Title:Breaking the Paradigm: Sexual Agency, Self-Trust, and Embodiment
Contemporary narratives around sexuality continue to be shaped by inherited binaries of gender, power, and identity, that fragment the experience of self. Breaking the Paradigm: Sexual Agency, Trust, and Embodiment draws on original research to offer a post-binary framework for understanding sexual empowerment as an embodied and agentic process of becoming. Integrating insights from the psychosocial, transpersonal, embodiment frameworks, and especially the participant experience. This work reframes sexual agency not as control or autonomy alone, but as the living capacity to act in alignment with one’s truth, values, and desire.
My research revealed that sexual agency develops through the cultivation of self-trust: trust in perception, in desire, and in the wisdom of the body. This trust opens a pathway for engaging sexuality as a source of connection, creativity, and integration rather than conflict or conformity. The presentation explores how restoring trust in embodied knowing can transform both personal and collective paradigms of gender, power, and wholeness. Participants are invited to consider how shifting from external validation to internal authority expands what it means to live, and love, from a place of authenticity and freedom.
